Helmut Warmbold has been working on his Clinchfield RR for a few years, in between helping out while his wife finished school, shuffling the (3) kids around to soccer practice, and holding down his day job & a hobby shop job (the shop closed...about the time his wife finished med school). Helmut sent in these photos, with some comments:

"Here are some photos of my basement mess (also called layout under construction).  The layout is the Clinchfield at the end of 1977.  Last year of the GE U-boats before being traded to the SCL for SD45s.  If you decide to do this, pick and choose which photos you like.  If you dare to make any date of completion promises, plan on moving in and working around the clock!"

Hmmm...doesn't sound like we'll be over this year for operations...maybe next year Helmut?
