Larry Burk has made some progress on his Clinch Valley Railroad. Kind of thought he might model either the FEC or the Chessie...not just a connection with it, since he used to drive trains on both those roads...

The Clinch Valley is a free lanced SE coal hauler, with plenty of overhead bridge traffic and some local industry. It runs from Knoxville TN, with connections to Southern and L&N, in a northeasterly direction to Logan WV, where it connects with Chessie and V&O. There is also a connection with the N&W at the yard in Richlands, VA.

Here's some photo's of Larry's early work from around Feb/March '03...and some newer ones from November, 2004. Larry's been busy! Looks like the main's are in, and Knoxville yard too.

Larry was laying mainline track, and posed this train to see what it looks like. Nice.
